The La Cañada Flintridge Library is running three reading programs this summer: “Be Creative @ Your Library,” a summer reading program for babies and children; “Express Yourself,” a summer reading program for teenagers, and “Color Your Summer,” an adult summer reading program. Get the whole family involved. Ask for details in the library on how to participate in these fun and exciting summer reading programs.

In addition to summer reading, the library is offering many programs over the summer for adults, teens, and children. On Tuesday, July 7, there will be a poetry workshop featuring Lory Bodikian. Learn to write color filled and bright poetry. The workshop will start at 1 p.m. The library will host the La Cañada Flintridge Chess Club on Wednesday, July 8 and Aug.12, both at 6 p.m. Every Wednesday at 3:30 p.m., teens are welcome to play Wii games at the library. Eat snacks and challenge your friends on your favorite Wii games. Also for teens, there will be a college workshop on July 14 at 3:30 p.m. In addition to the regular storytimes (for preschoolers: Mondays and Tuesdays at 11 a.m., for Toddlers Mondays and Tuesdays at 10:15 a.m.), on July 11 at 3 p.m., children 5 years of age and older are welcome to join in on a globe-trotting musical adventure. An interactive storytime will take place on July 18 at 2 p.m. Stop by at the library to learn about the many other programs we are offering over the summer. All programs are free of charge and open to the public.
