La Cañada came out of the South Coast Tournament alive after a series of unlucky matches.
La Cañada lost to Edison in the opening game, 5-4, despite scoring three goals in the final quarter. They then fell to Long Beach Poly in sudden death overtime.
They came out of the tourney with one win, over Mission Viejo, and four losses.
“It’s been a rough start for the players,” stated Coach German Lopez, “but we know LC has always had a strong aquatics program and strong players. We look forward to facing the challenge ahead, learning from our mistakes and moving on to our best level of play in coming weeks.”
