Area 1

2700 block of Altura Avenue: A victim reported that he parked a 1997 Nissan Frontier on the street on May 6 at 6 p.m. When he went out to the street the next morning the vehicle had been stolen.

Crescenta Valley High School: Several students reported that their vehicles, parked in the vicinity of Crescenta Valley High School, were vandalized on May 7 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Somebody apparently threw raw eggs at the cars, in some cases damaging the paint.

2300 block of Mountain Avenue: Somebody entered vehicles owned by a husband and wife that were parked on the street overnight on May 8-9. The suspect stole a GPS, iPod, CDs, cell phone and cell-phone charger. The total loss was estimated at $620.

Crescenta Valley High School: Several students reported that their vehicles, parked in the vicinity of Crescenta Valley High School, were vandalized on May 10 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Somebody apparently threw raw eggs at the cars, in some cases damaging the paint.

3100 block of Brookhill Street: Somebody keyed and egged a 2009 Audi sedan that was parked on the street on May 10 between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Little Tujunga Road: A hiker parked her car near a trail head on May 10 at 4 p.m. When she returned an hour later she saw that one window had been smashed. A pocketbook containing cash and credit cards, a digital camera and a GPS system were missing.

Area 2

Foothill Boulevard and Hampton Road: Sheriff’s deputies observed a vehicle with a paper license plate on May 6. Upon stopping the vehicle, they smelled burnt marijuana. A search revealed a small amount of marijuana. The driver had an expired medical marijuana card, and was cited accordingly.

1900 block of Foothill Boulevard: A victim parked a Nissan Maxima in the parking lot at the Crescenta-Cañada YMCA on May 6 at 8:40 p.m. He returned an hour later and saw his front window had been smashed and a duffel bag was stolen from the vehicle. The total loss was estimated at $360.

Foothill Boulevard and Crown Avenue: Somebody forced entry into a 2004 Ford F-150 on May 8 between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. The suspect ransacked the vehicle, but did not steal anything.

Starlight Crest Drive: Deputies responded to a call regarding a suspicious person on May 11 at 3:38 p.m. They found a male passed out in a parked vehicle. Deputies conducted a search and found methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia, as well as power tools and stereos in the vehicle. The suspect was arrested and booked on suspicion of possessing methamphetamines and reasonable cause of possession of stolen property.
