Costa hearing continued

A court hearing was delayed Monday for the truck driver charged with murder in a fatal traffic accident on Angeles Crest Highway in La Cañada Flintridge last year.

Marcos Barbosa Costa, 44, is scheduled to appear June 3 in Pasadena Superior Court.

Murder charges against the commercial truck driver were reinstated on April 6 by a state appeals court panel, which ruled that Costa had sufficient knowledge of the danger involved in continuing to descend the steep mountainous pass on April 1, 2009.

Costa lost control of the truck, which barreled through a busy intersection at Angeles Crest Highway and Foothill Boulevard, killing a Palmdale man and his 12-year-old daughter.
