La Cañadans graduate from out-of-state schools

Corin Porter of La Cañada graduated from Boston College on May 24. Porter received a bachelor of arts degree with a major in English. During the university's Commencement Ceremony, more than 3,500 undergraduate and graduate students were presented degrees.

Paul Hyuck Cha of La Cañada recently graduated from Washington State University. He received a bachelor of science degree in biology.

Julia Christine Musker of La Cañada was recently awarded a bachelor's degree in journalism from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.


Locals named to dean's lists

Julia Christine Musker was also honored by being named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Baylor for keeping a grade-point average of at least 3.7 with a full class load.

Leach M. Resnick made the dean's list at Boston University for the spring semester. Boston University is the fourth-largest independent university in the United States and offers a wide range of programs in the arts and sciences.

Hayley SooHoo earned dean's list honors at the College of William and Mary for the spring semester. Those who qualified must be a full-time, undergraduate student taking at least 12 units while maintaining a minimum 3.6 quality-point average.
