Los Angeles County Sheriff’s detectives are looking for at least two men involved in an armed robbery last week on Foothill Boulevard.

A 19-year-old man was listening to an iPod while walking in the 1700 block of Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada Flintridge at 1 a.m. on June 24, Sgt. Ray Harley said.

The victim sensed someone approaching him from behind, turned and saw two masked suspects, one holding a handgun and they demanded his iPod and money, Harley said.

“The victim complied and gave the two suspects his iPod and his wallet, which contained a little bit of cash,” Harley said.

One of the suspects thanked the victim, then the two men fled toward a small, light-colored SUV or Jeep with a spare tire on the back.

Both suspects were described as white males, about 18 years old between 6 feet and 6 feet 3 inches tall, Harley said. One was wearing blue jeans, a dark sweatshirt with the sleeves rolled up to the elbows and green Vans tennis shoes. The second suspect was wearing blue jeans and a dark T-shirt.

Harley said armed robberies in La Cañada are “very rare.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station at (818) 248-3464.
