Area 1: 2500 block of Mayfield Avenue: Deputies responded to a burglary call on Aug. 8 at 2:45 p.m. The victim reported that he left his home for about 10 minutes and returned to see a screen window covering on the ground, and the window wide open. He approached the house and saw a 6-foot-tall white man standing in his living room. The suspect saw the resident, walked out the front door and said, “My ball was in your backyard.” The resident threatened to call the police, and the suspect fled. Nothing was stolen.
2600 block of Mayfield Avenue: Someone broke into a residence on Aug. 6 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and stole a Rolex watch, a watch winder and a diamond drop necklace from the master bedroom. A window on the east side of the house had been forced open. The total loss was valued at $7,005.
2200 block of Foothill Boulevard: Deputies responded to a call of a man making repeated 911 calls stating that he was drunk, had multiple warrants and wanted to go to jail. Deputies arrived to find a Hispanic man visibly intoxicated. The man was unable to provide his address of telephone number, so deputies arrested him for being drunk in public.
2400 block of Laughlin Avenue: Someone smashed the rear driver’s-side window of a 2002 Ford Explorer parked in a driveway on Aug. 7 between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. The damage was valued at $450.
3800 block of Park Rose Place: Someone smashed the rear driver’s-side window of a 1999 Alero that was parked in an apartment car port on Aug. 9 between 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. The suspect stole a CD case. The total loss and damage was valued at $600.

4800 block of Vineta Avenue: A suspect entered an open garage overnight Aug. 4-5 between 5 p.m. and 5:45 a.m. and stole a golf bag, television and coins. The total loss was valued at $2,312.
Area 3
600 block of Foothill Boulevard: An Asian male entered the Chevron gas station on Aug. 8 at 1:48 a.m. He grabbed a pack of cigarettes, told the cashier he was going to get a Monster drink out of the freezer, and then ran out the door. He fled with another Asian male in a white Toyota 4Runner SUV.
