Area 1: 1900 block of Waltonia Drive: A 36-year-old male approached deputies as the conducted an illegal parking investigation on Sept. 15 at 12:30 a.m. The man displayed signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance, including rapid speech, sweating, disheveled appearance etc. Deputies conducted a field sobriety test and arrested the man for being under the influence of a controlled substance.

2100 block of Verdugo Boulevard: Deputies conducted a traffic stop after observing a driver talking on a cell phone on Sept. 16 at 1:05 a.m. Upon speaking the driver, the deputies smelled alcohol. They conducted a DUI investigation and determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and booked at the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station.

200 block of Propsect Avenue: A man parked his 1996 Chevrolet Suburban on the street on Sept 15. at 2 p.m. He returned the next day to find the car gone.

2900 block of Alabama Street: Somebody smashed the rear window of a 2000 Camry that was parked on the street between Sept. 15-16, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. Nothing was stolen from the vehicle. The damage was valued at $130.

3800 block of Park Place: A woman parked her car on Sept. 18 at noon. She returned to find the word “me” scratched into the hood of the 2007 Mazda. The damage was valued at $1,000.

2800 block of Community Avenue: A woman left her residence on Sept 20 at 1 p.m. She returned a few hours later to find items missing, including an iPod and a digital camera. The point of entry is believed to be a door on the east side of the house. The total loss was valued at $485.

2800 block of Foothill Boulevard: An individual received a telephone call on his cell phone while he was at the La Crescenta Library on Sept. 20 at 6:33 p.m. He returned about 45 minutes later to find that his backpack, containing a temporary Social Security card, birth certificate, U.S. Passport and a library book, missing. The total loss was valued at $268.

Area 2

4400 block of Oak Grove Drive: A woman parked, and locked, her 2006 Honda Odyssey on the west side of the La Cañada High School auditorium on Sept. 14 at 4:45 p.m. She returned about 30 minutes later and drove home, where she discovered her Dooney and Bourke leather purse, containing cash, was missing. The lock on the driver’s side door of the car had been tampered with. The total loss and damage was valued at $412.

Foothill Boulevard and 2 Freeway: Deputies conducted a traffic stop after observing that the Saturn SL2 was speeding on Sept. 16 at 1:05 a.m. Deputies determined that the driver was driving with a suspended licenses, and lacked proof of insurance. He was cited, and a small amount of marijuana was seized from a passenger in the car.

4600 block of Alta Canyada Road: Somebody entered an unlocked vehicle that was parked overnight Sept. 13-14 between 8:30 p.m. and 11 a.m. The suspect stole a GPS system, an iPod, cash and a money clip. The total loss was valued at $530.

Area 3

Verdugo and Foothill Boulevards: Deputies observed a driver make an illegal right turn on Sept. 16 at 1:10 p.m. They determined that the driver was driving with a suspended license, and she was cited.

900 block of Flintridge Avenue: Somebody broke a window in a master bathroom and entered a home on Sept. 16 between 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. The suspect ransacked the residence, and stole a yellow gold wedding band, a yellow gold and diamond engagement ring, a pearl necklace, cash and a laptop. The total los and damage was valued at $9,150.
