Area 1 : 210 Freeway and Lowell Avenue: Deputies observed a vehicle straddling a lane on Sept. 29 at 5:45 p.m. They conducted a traffic stop and determined the driver was driving with a suspended license. He was ticketed.

Foothill Boulevard and Rosemont Avenue: Deputies observed a green Thunderbird with expired registration tags on Oct. 1. They conducted a traffic stop and the driver volunteered that he had marijuana in his possession. Deputies conducted a search and found a small green container with a green leafy substance in it. The substance was confiscated, and the man was cited.

La Crescenta and Montrose Avenues: Deputies observed a white male in front of a 7-Eleven store on Oct. 2 at 11:55 p.m. They returned a short time later and saw that he was still loitering. They approached him and warned him not to loiter, and the man volunteered that he was carrying a knife. Deputies conducted a search and found eight syringes on his person. He was arrested for possession of hypodermic needles.

4100 block of Briggs Avenue: A woman reported that a black male wearing a white shirt and carrying a backpack attempted to enter her home through the front door on Oct. 5 at 2:15 a.m. The woman slammed the door shut and told him to leave, which he did. Deputies canvassed the area, located the suspect and detained him. Because he had an empty backpack and appeared to have no plausible reason for being in the area, he was arrested for burglary.

Area 2

5700 block of Summit Crest Drive: Someone forced entry into a home through a living-room window on Oct. 1 between 9:50 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Several rooms were ransacked and items were stolen, including video-game consoles, a jewelry box containing jewelry, a digital camera, a Rolex watch and a Cartier watch. The total loss and damage was valued at $18,600.

Area 3

Hahamonga Park, Oak Grove Drive: Deputies observed a man entering the park after hours on Oct. 1, at 1:40 a.m. They determined that he was driving with a suspended license. He was cited.

1200 block of Inverness Drive: Someone forced entry into a home through a locked sliding door on Oct. 5 between 10:30 and 11:45 a.m. Several rooms were ransacked and items stolen, including two laptop computers, a gold and diamond bracelet, pearl necklaces and bracelets and a Tag Heuer watch. The total loss and damage was valued at $21,100.
