Area 1: 2500 block of Foothill Boulevard: Someone stole the front grill from a woman’s 2006 Mercedes sometime on between Oct. 6 at 5:30 p.m. and Oct. 7 at 6 p.m. It was the second time in recent months that the car’s grill had been stolen. The loss was valued at $600.

4400 block of Ramsdell Avenue: A business owner reported that somebody entered his fenced-in auto-repair shop sometime between Oct. 9 at 5 p.m. and Oct 10 at 8 .m. and stole a custom-made bicycle. The loss was valued at $450.

2500 block of Mayfield Avenue: Somebody stole an intercooler grill off a 2005 Mercedes that was parked in the driveway of a residence sometime between Oct. 8 and Oct. 10. The loss was valued at $1,000.

5400 block of Pine Cone Road: A woman reported that somebody entered her backyard and stole about 35 persimmons from a tree sometime between Oct. 8 and Oct. 11. The total loss was valued at $35.

Area 2

5200 block of Crown Avenue: A man locked and left his home on Oct. 6 at 11:10 a.m. He returned at 5:20 p.m. to find the front door ajar. A glass patio door had been smashed, and there were muddy footprints on the floors. Several rooms had been ransacked. Items stolen included a 9 mm handgun, a fire-proof safe, a Frank Muller watch, sapphire and diamond earrings, sapphire and diamond rings, a passport and cash. The total loss was valued at about $31,600.

700 block of Foothill Boulevard: A woman placed her purse on the floor in the a dressing room at a yoga studio on Oct. 8 at 1 p.m. She went into an adjacent room to participate in a yoga class. She returned a short time later to find that the contents of her purse were missing. Items stolen included a wallet, credit cards, two diamond rings, earrings, a key chain and cash. The total loss was valued at more than $20,000. In additional, several charges totaling $1,000 were made to her credit cards.

400 block of Cañon de Paraiso Drive: Somebody stole a concrete bird bath from the lawn area of a residence sometime between Sept. 24 and Oct. 8. The loss was valued at $500.

Area 3

500 block of Haverstock Road: Somebody forced entry into a home through a bedroom window on Oct. 8 between 11:30 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. Several rooms were ransacked. Items stolen included a sapphire necklace, sapphire and diamond earrings, a laptop and a digital camera. The total loss was valued at about $9,000.
