AREA 2: 4000 block of Oakwood Avenue: A 67-year-old man reported damage to the windshield of his 2000 BMW 528-I. The glass appeared to have been struck on the lower driver’s side corner sometime during the evening of Oct. 16. The damage was estimated at $1,000.

4000 block of Oak Grove Drive: A couple who had parked in the La Cañada High School parking lot on the morning of Oct. 17 returned hours later to find a pry mark along the driver’s-side door and the woman’s purse and wallet missing from under the center console of their 2002 Chevy Tahoe. Damage and missing property, including the Louis Vitton purse and wallet, was valued at $1,400.

300 block of Nancy Way: A red Huji bicycle, two helmets and an air pump were stolen from a garage between 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 16 and 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 17. The victim did not remember whether he had left a door to the garage open. The loss was valued at $1,240.

AREA 3

400 block of Richmond Road: On the afternoon of Oct. 12, a woman staying in a guesthouse heard loud banging noises coming from the front house. She entered through an unlocked patio door to see two Hispanic males run through the living room and out the front. Both men wore black clothing and had shaved heads, according to the woman. The residents reported $13,750 worth of stolen property, including a $10,000 Bulgari diamond watch.

600 block of Foothill Boulevard: At 9:20 p.m. on Oct. 11 a man was arrested for driving without a license and under the influence of drugs after crashing into a sign within the TJ Maxx parking lot and attempting to flee the scene.

1500 block of Sugarloaf Drive: On Oct. 15 a man reported that landscaping equipment including a chain saw, leaf blower and edge trimmer were stolen from the back of his Chevy Silverado pickup truck sometime between 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. The equipment was valued at $1,180.

1900 block of Verdugo Boulevard: Deputies on patrol in the parking lot of the United Artists Theatre were approached at around 8 p.m. Friday by a man who said his rear passenger-side window had been smashed and car stereo and cellular phone had been stolen from his 1989 Mercury Marquis sedan. The stolen goods were valued at $170.
