Rodrigo Guerra passed away at his La Cañada Flintridge home on Oct. 30 after a long illness. He was 84.

He was married to Maria de los Angeles Ximenez Guerra for 56 years. He was born in Mission, Texas, on Sept. 12, 1926. The Guerras moved to California in 1958 and settled in Pasadena.

Guerra served his country in the Army and was honorably discharged. He was a postal worker for 20 years until he retired. After his retirement, the Guerras moved to La Cañada Flintridge. He is survived by his wife, Maria; his three children, Rodrigo, Jr., Lauro and Anna Maria; their spouses and four granddaughters, as well as siblings, nieces and nephews and other relatives in Texas.

The service will be held at St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church in La Cañada Flintridge at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 8, with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Montebello. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to CurePSP, a charity dedicated to the cure of progressive supranuclear palsy.
