Area 1: 4800 block of Raymond Avenue: At around 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 14, a man who was asked by a neighbor to investigate strange noises coming from her garage chased intruders down the street before flagging down deputies and identifying one of the men. Artur Bandari, 24, of La Crescenta said he did not know why he was being chased and that he saw two black men run past him. The man who identified Bandari pointed investigators to a black bag he said Bandari had pitched into a nearby yard. The bag was found to contain burglary tools that included a lock pick, a Leatherman multi-purpose tool and black gloves. Investigators located a wine chiller and wine bottles that according to the witness Bandari and another man had taken from the garage. Bandari was arrested and charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools. The other suspect remains at large.

4100 block of Marellen Place: A woman reported that vandals had egged her white 2008 Saturn SUV sometime between noon on Feb. 8 and 7:30 a.m. the next day. Damage, estimated at $300, included a dent in the driver’s side door that was three inches in diameter.

4600 block of Ocean View Boulevard: A laptop computer and Xbox gaming console were reported stolen from a home on Feb. 15. The homeowner said his son had left the residence at noon without locking the doors and returned at 6:45 p.m. to find the computer and Xbox missing from his bedroom. The loss was valued at $1,800.

4500 block of Encinas Drive: An Apple iPad, its case, a Louis Vuitton wallet and $150 in cash were stolen between noon and 2:15 p.m. on Feb. 12 from an unlocked Honda Odyssey parked at La Cañada Elementary School. The loss was valued at $1,430.

1900 block of Foothill Boulevard: A Brooks Bros. suit jacket, leather wallet and Mont Blanc pen were reported stolen between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 10 from a Volkswagen Passat parked at the YMCA. A rear passenger window had been smashed. The jacket was valued at $400, the wallet at $30 and the pen at $240.

4700 block of Hayman Avenue: A woman reported on Feb. 10 that a blue stroller valued at $300 was apparently stolen from her front yard sometime between 5 p.m. on Feb. 7 and 5 p.m. on Feb. 10.
