Investors planning to open a 24-hour gymnasium at a vacant building at La Cañada Town Center will seek approval from the city’s Planning Commission Wednesday night.

Anytime Fitness, part of an international health club franchise with more than 1,500 locations, must obtain a conditional use permit from the commission before moving in to a 5,000-square-foot location at the east end of Town Center, said city Community Development Director Robert Stanley.

Another business currently has plans to open a children’s gym and recreation facility at Town Center.

The Planning Commission meeting starts at 6 p.m. on Feb. 23 at La Cañada Flintridge City Hall, 1327 Foothill Boulevard.
