Power outages planned next week

Southern California Edison plans to cut off power to 29 homes and two businesses on Wednesday, March 23, in order to perform electrical system maintenance. Outages are also planned for eight businesses on March 24.

Homes and businesses affected by the Wednesday shutoff — expected to last from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. — are within areas bounded by Flintridge Avenue, Chevy Chase Drive, Hampstead Road, Hillcrest Avenue, Stratford Drive and Windsor Place.

The March 24 outage is expected to occur between 1 and 7 a.m. and includes businesses along the south side of Foothill Boulevard that are west of Ocean View Boulevard.
