Ruth Lepisto Frazer

Ruth Lepisto Frazer was born June 4, 1917,Wakefi eld,
Michigan, and died February 28, 2011, Honolulu, HI.
Ruth met her husband Bob in Ann Arbor Michigan at a
dance, where she was introduced to him by her elder sister
Mildred. Bob fell in love immediately with beautiful Ruth
and asked her for a date. Later, after much persistence on
Bob’s part, Ruth agreed to a second date. They were married
hurriedly in the beginning of the war on December 29, 1941
in Wakefi eld, resided in Rochester NY until their fi rst child,
Edward, was born and then left for California two months
later. One of nine children, Ruth graduated from high school
at age 16 and went to Ironwood Junior College. At age 50,
while raising her children, she transferred her credits to
California State University at Los Angeles and earned a
teaching credential in 1970. She taught elementary school
in Los Angeles until retirement. Ruth hosted countless family
gatherings, potlucks and pool parties for her many friends
and relatives at her home in La Canada, California. Ruth loved
bargain shopping, water aerobics, Chinese brush painting,
collecting dolls and making pasties. Most of all she loved her
large family including best friends Dorothy Lepisto and Arline
King. She and Bob were married for 60 wonderful years.
In her later years, Ruth was cared for lovingly by her
friends at Elderwise Senior Care in Seattle and Hale Nohea
in Honolulu. She is survived by four siblings, fi ve children,
sixteen grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Victor Lepisto (d), Mildred Miles (d), Carl Lepisto,Walter Lepisto,
Morris Lepisto (d), Paul Lepisto (d), Fern Dutemple and June
Anderson. Wife to Robert Frazer, mother to Edward Frazer,
Bonnie Town, Sherry Daniels, Laurie Haslund, Ronald Frazer
(d), Donald Frazer (d) and Douglas Frazer; grandmother to
Gaylord Town, Jessamy Hornor, Lisa Pua Frazer,Arne Haslund,
Luke Daniels, Felicia Harms,Will Daniels, Isaac Frazer, Lena
Draper, Mia Town, Brady Daniels, Alex Town, Kelly Haslund,
Mahina Barney-Frazer, Jenna Frazer and Robert Frazer;
great-grandmother to Caleb Rael, Cassidy Dixon, Haley Dixon,
Eva Hornor, Ella Town,AJ Harms, Elsa Hornor, Hazel Daniels,
Wynn Daniels, Mina Hornor, Benjamin Harms and of course,
more on the way
