Obituary: James Wolfson

James Harold Wolfson, 82, a longtime driver for the Los Angeles Times, died April 7 in Crescent City. He was a resident of Brookings, Ore. at the time of his death.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 15 at La Cañada Presbyterian Church, 626 Foothill Blvd.

Born in Los Angeles on June 7, 1928, he graduated from Belmont High School. During his career with the Times he made many trips to the movie studios of Hollywood, prompting him to become a collector of film memorabilia. He also worked as an extra in the film “Hello Dolly.”

He is survived by his daughter, Shelley Brow, and her husband, Jeff; granddaughters Charee, Maygen and Kaleigh; and four great-grandchildren. He also leaves his sister, Marjorie Cameron.
