A Los Angeles man working as a gardener in the Greenridge neighborhood of La Cañada Flintridge was arrested on Saturday after allegedly exposing himself to a teenage girl.

Oscar Rodriguez, 30, is charged with indecent exposure and remains in custody at the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station, said Sgt. Ray Harley.

Federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers have placed a hold against Rodriguez posting bail pending an immigration hearing, Harley said.

According to investigators, the 13-year-old victim was out walking her dog on the 700 block of Forest Green Drive when Rodriguez tried to get her attention just after 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. The girl ignored Rodriguez’s first attempt to get her attention, but after he called to her a second time she turned and saw that he had unzipped his pants and was exposing himself. She immediately ran away.

“She did the right thing. As soon as she recognized this guy was exposing himself, she immediately turned and ran to her home, where she called for help,” Harley said.
