A driver who lost control of her car, sped into an embankment, felled a metal light pole and rolled the car over multiple times on the interchange from the westbound Foothill (210) Freeway to the southbound Glendale (2) Freeway was taken to Glendale Adventist Medical Center on Friday afternoon after complaining of neck pain.

Los Angeles County firefighters arrived on the scene around 2 p.m. and extricated the unidentified driver from her silver sedan, said California Highway Patrol Officer R. Siemens, who was at the scene.

Siemens said the woman was lucid after the crash and told him she was driving between 40 and 45 miles per hour when she lost control.

“For reasons under investigation, she lost control of her vehicle and collided with the light pole. When she hit the embankment, the car rolled multiple times,” Siemens said.

The car came to rest upside down on the side of the road under the 210 overpass in La Cañada Flintridge, leaving a trail of debris that included a rearview mirror, bumper and the fallen light pole.
