Steve Wood of Brentwood and San Francisco resident Laura Chamita won the inaugural La Cañada Flintridge International Bike Race, which drew a field of 125 racers. The event was sponsored by the La Cañada Kiwanis Club and the Montrose Cycle Club. The men’s competition covered 49 miles while the women’s course was 29 miles long.
