AREA 1: 2600 block of Ridge Pine Drive: A man reported that the rear window of his 2010 Chevrolet Traverse was smashed sometime between noon and 7 p.m. on June 12 while it was parked on the street. Damage was estimated at $500.

4300 block of Ocean View Boulevard: A red 2000 Toyota Tacoma truck was stolen sometime between 10 p.m. on June 10 and 6 a.m. the next day while parked on the street. The victim said he locked his truck.

3000 block of El Caminito Street: A 10-speed bike and numerous golf clubs were stolen from a home’s unlocked shed sometime between 9 a.m. on June 8 and 9 a.m. the next day. The bike was valued at $50, the clubs at $200.

2800 block of Foothill Boulevard: Thomas Edward Shore, 39, of Los Angeles was arrested at 5:30 p.m. on June 8 and charged with public intoxication. A deputy on patrol noticed him sway while he walked, use a light pole for support, stagger and stumble before sitting down on a wall. Shore, who complained of a pre-existing medical condition, registered a .34 blood alcohol level during a breathalyzer test and was transported to Vertigo Hills Hospital for treatment.

2700 block of Montrose Avenue: Hyun Il Shin, 57, of Santa Clarita was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at 3:20 a.m. on June 7 after a deputy found him slumped over the steering wheel of his car, which at the time was parked at a public parking stall with its lights on.

4200 block of Florencita Avenue: Baudilio Ortiz Negro, 41, of North Hollywood was arrested and charged with burglary after a parking enforcement officer radioed a crime in progress call at 11 a.m. on June 6. The officer said he saw the man leaving a shed behind a vacant home and carrying a small plastic electrical box. Negro told a deputy that he was hoping to find items to recycle for money and took the electrical box because he was struggling to make mortgage payments.

AREA 3

4100 block of Hampstead Road: A camera tripod valued at $50 and a tote bag filled with clothing valued at $100 were stolen sometime between 11 p.m. on June 7 and 9:30 a.m. on June 9 from a 2001 Toyota Corolla parked on the street. The victim said she had locked the car but found its trunk left open and front driver’s side window smashed. Damage was estimated at $450.
