Verdugo Hills Hospital to hold blood drive

A community blood drive will be held at Verdugo Hills Hospital from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1.

The drive, sponsored by the American Red Cross, will be held in the Fourth Floor Council Rooms at the hospital, 1812 Verdugo Blvd., Glendale.

Donors must be in good health, be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and not have received tattoos within the last 12 months. They are asked to drink water and eat a nutritious meal before donating, and to present a photo identification.
