The Paradise Canyon Elementary School PTA held its first Sports Circus in conjunction with its Family Fun Fair during October 1971 on the Knight Way campus.

Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig Vogl, both natives of Munich, Germany, opened Ludwig’s Gourmet Shop at 506 Foothill Blvd. The store featured prime meats, sausages, cold cuts, imported and domestic cheeses, European bakery items and homemade salads.


Sixty Years Ago

An Encinas Drive man reported that his car, which had been parked in his locked garage overnight, was not there when he went to use it the next morning. He called authorities and the car was found, still in good condition, just a few blocks away. On the front seat there was a note that read, “Thank you very much!”
