A forum designed to educate parents about the realities of teenage drug and alcohol use will be held tonight at City Hall at 7 p.m.

The forum, called Hidden in Plain Sight and presented by La Cañada Flintridge’s Public Safety Commission in partnership with the Community prevention Council, also will share approaches for talking to teenagers about these activities.

An expert panel including Sheriff Deputy Eric Matejka, LCUSD Safety Officer Tanya Wilson, Deb Beckwith, Dr. Leonard Baker, and two students representing La Cañada High School and Flintridge Prep will talk about drug and alcohol use in the community. The discussion will be moderated by Will Moffitt, chair of the Community Prevention Council.

City Hall is located at 1327 Foothill Boulevard. For more information, contact Peter Castro, Public Safety Coordinator, at (818) 790-8880.
