City OKs lengthy banner display
In recognition of the La Cañada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce’s 100th anniversary, the City Council on Monday agreed to suspend part of its banner policy to allow banners on local light poles for seven months. The law normally sets a 30-day limit on banners. The chamber posted banners celebrating its 100-year anniversary earlier this month and will keep them in place through Dec. 26.
In December, the city expanded the areas eligible for banners to include parts of Angeles Crest Highway, Verdugo Boulevard and Gould Avenue.
