La Cañada to hold public meeting on parking issue Monday

Share

Whether La Cañada Flintridge should allow parking on a stretch of Fairview Drive will be up for review at Monday’s City Council meeting.

According to the agenda, released by the city today, the council is hearing an appeal of their decision in May to prohibit parking at all times on Fairview Drive from Angeles Crest Highway to 100 feet westwards.

The area currently is a no parking zone from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. on school days. City staff is recommending that the council deny the appeal and maintain the full-time restriction.

Also on the agenda are a public safety update from the L.A. County Fire Department, a presentation to Katy Campbell, CIF Division I Swimming 500-Yard Freestyle Champion and a first reading of a zone change ordinance regarding temporary use permits.

City Council meetings are held at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 1327 Foothill Boulevard.
