Teenage boy, motorcycle driver injured after La Cañada collision

A 14-year-old boy was struck by a motorcycle Friday night when he attempted to cross a street in La Cañada Flintridge, authorities reported.

The teenage crossed Foothill Boulevard at Chevy Chase Drive against a red light around 10:07 p.m., witnesses told the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station.

After being hit, he was allegedly carried about 50 feet before falling into the street. He was taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital with a broken femur and collapsed lung, according to the sheriff’s station.

The motorcyclist was also taken to the hospital with facial injuries.
