Teen injured in collision with motorcycle

A teen pedestrian and a motorcyclist were hurt when the motorcycle struck the boy as he jaywalked on Foothill Boulevard in La Canada Flintridge on Friday night, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The boy, 14, was crossing Foothill against the light just west of the intersection with Angeles Crest Highway at around 10:07 p.m.  when a motorcycle traveling west on Foothill hit him. The teen was carried about 50 feet on the windshield of the bike before falling to the street, according to the sheriff’s department.

The rider was thrown off the bike after it struck the center median.

Both were taken to a nearby hospital by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics.
