Car flips on 210 off-ramp at Angeles Crest

An accident Sunday night that left a car overturned on the eastbound exit of the 210 Freeway at Angeles Crest Highway in La Cañada Flintridge is being investigated by the California Highway Patrol.

CHP Officer Saul Gomez said Monday afternoon that the cause of the crash was an unsafe turn on the part of the driver, a 19-year-old man from La Crescenta. A 1999 Chevy Cavalier hit a guard rail and flipped at around 8:05 p.m. Investigators were determining whether excess speed played a role in the crash. Drugs and alcohol were deemed not to be factors.

The driver sustained minor injuries, including cuts to his hand and face, and was treated at the scene and released to seek medical attention on his own.
