The La Cañada Flintridge City Council will vote on approving the updated General Plan tomorrow.

Some of the changes to the new plan deal with congestion, traffic, parking and energy consumption. Officials also propose rezoning two areas of the city as part of the plan, Senior Planner Fred Buss said.

“We’re bringing it up to date,” he said.

Director of Community Development Robert Stanley said he expects the plan to be approved since residents and officials have had ample time to review it.

The draft was released in December 2010 and the council has held public hearings since last June.

Also on the agenda is a proposal to amend a law that would require residents to undergo a review when they want to store a recreational vehicle on their property. The city would notify the neighbors of the RV owner as part of the process.

An RV, as defined in the proposed zone change, is a vehicle designed for camping or animal and human habitation that is not used on a regular basis.

The meeting takes place at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall, 1327 Foothill Blvd.
