Police: Thieves steal patio heaters from Glendale, La Cañada businesses

Thieves have been stealing portable patio heaters from businesses in Glendale and La Cañada Flintridge, according to law enforcement officials.
Glendale venues have reported three separate incidents since August and North Shore Burgers on Verdugo Boulevard reported multiple heaters missing last month, said Capt. David Silversparre of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station.
Witnesses saw two male suspects leave in a white van in one incident, he said.
Officials are asking business owners keep an eye on patio heaters and store them in a secure location when they close for the night.
