Crime Blotter: Residential and vehicular burglaries continue

Feb. 2

Residential burglary: 1000 block of Lavender Lane, between 5 p.m. on Feb. 1 and 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 2. Front door shattered, kitchen knife lying on front porch. No property reported missing.

Feb. 3

Grand theft: 1100 block of Lavender Lane, 7:30 a.m. Ring with large purple stone and an Omega watch stolen from estate sale. A man described as a Persian male wearing a blue running jacket and dark pants was seen driving away from the scene in a white van.

Feb. 5

Petty theft: 1200 block of Homewood Lane, between 1 and 7 a.m. Toolbox containing car accessories stolen from unlocked vehicle.

Feb. 7

Possession of marijuana/hash: Foothill Boulevard and Gould Avenue. 1:14 p.m. Man arrested after found smoking on the street, possessed marijuana and hash.

Feb. 8

Vehicle burglary: 1900 block of Verdugo Boulevard, between 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. Bose navigation system and black leather bucket seats stolen from locked vehicle while owner was dining at North Shore Burgers.

Feb. 9

Vehicle burglary: 4463 Oak Grove Drive, between 12:55 and 2:05 p.m. Wallet, purse, identification, various gift cards and bank cards and $53 in cash stolen from car parked at the La Cañada High School east lot. Window was smashed.

Feb. 5

Attempted burglary: 2700 block of Ridgepine Drive, between 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Window screen removed, but no items reported missing.Residential burglary: 2700 block of Ridgepine Drive, between 8:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Diamond necklace, diamond earrings worth $7,000 total stolen from home. All rooms ransacked. Damage to front door.

Feb. 6

Petty theft: 4500 block of Rosemont Avenue, 5:15 p.m. Beach cruiser bicycle stolen from porch of home.Feb. 7

Petty theft: 2800 block of Mary Street, between 8 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Washer and dryer, black in color, stolen from resident’s driveway that were intended to be picked up by a family member.

Feb. 10

Commercial burglary: 2675 Foothill Blvd. Multiple bottles of Tanqueray gin, Bulleit bourbon and Glenmorangie scotch stolen from Ralphs. Suspects were described as a black male, around 50 years old, with a shaved head and a goatee, and a black female, around 30 years old, with one side of her head shaved.
