La Cañada Crime: Suspect allegedly steals donations from St. Bede's Church

April 25

Burglary: 5400 block of Ocean View Boulevard between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Door damaged, bedrooms ransacked.

April 27

Burglary: 215 Foothill Blvd., 1:10 p.m. A 38-year-old Santa Monica man was arrested on suspicion of stealing money from donation boxes at St. Bede's Church. He possessed burglary tools and appeared to be under the influence of marijuana.

La Crescenta

April 24

Drug possession: Pennsylvania Avenue and Foothill Boulevard, 11:41 p.m. A 42-year-old man was arrested for possessing cocaine and Vicodin, and for driving on a suspended license.

April 25

Burglary: 2675 Foothill Blvd., 3:50 p.m. A 61-year-old La Crescenta man was arrested on suspicion of stealing more than $147 in stolen merchandise from Ralphs.

April 28

Burglary: 4300 block of Ramsdell Avenue between 8:55 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Rear passenger window on car shattered while parked near Crescenta Valley High School. A purse, which had been left sitting on the rear passenger seat, was stolen.

April 29

Burglary: 5200 block of Ramsdell Avenue, 3:37 a.m. A resident awoke in the middle of the night to find an intruder in his home, who ran off. No property was reported missing.


April 28

Burglary: 1900 block of Verdugo Boulevard between 7:30 p.m. and 10:05 p.m. A radio monitor, speakers and toolbox were stolen from a locked vehicle.
