Schiff to announce student art contest winners at Descanso Gardens

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Burbank) will announce the winners of an annual student art competition this Sunday at Descanso Gardens in La Canada Flintridge.

The entry that wins first place will hang in the U.S. Capitol, the second-place entry will hang in Schiff’s Washington, D.C. office and the art piece that wins third place will hang in the congressman’s Burbank office. The congressman will also name a ‘People’s Choice’ winner, to be displayed in Washington. All pieces will be on display for one year.

The exhibition for the high school competition will open at 3 p.m. at Descanso Gardens’ Van de Kamp Hall. Presentations begin at 5 p.m. The gardens are located on 1418 Descanso Dr.
