La Cañada Crime: Cash stolen from Mexican restaurant

May 19-20

Vehicle burglary: 4300 block of Beulah Drive, before 7:30 a.m. on March 20. Purse containing wallet, driver’s license, credit cards and keys to a La Cañada bank were stolen from a locked vehicle.

May 21-22

Burglary: 721 Foothill Blvd., before 8 a.m. on May 22. Employees at Doña Maria discovered that $200 in was cash missing from the restaurant when they opened. There was damage to the rear security door and pry marks were found on the cash register.

May 22

Petty theft: 4200 block of Encinas Drive 12:45 p.m. A gas blower for gardening was stolen from a truck bed.

May 24-25

Petty theft: 1919 Verdugo Blvd., before 1:10 a.m. on May 25. Side view mirrors were stolen from vehicle while its owner left it parked outside United Artist Theatres.

La Crescenta

May 21

Petty theft: 2675 Foothill Blvd., 7:23 p.m. Various items stolen from display at Ralphs market totaling $198.80.

Montrose

May 21

Residential burglary: 2200 block of Mira Vista Avenue, between 6 and 9 p.m. Toiletries, a Volcom brand backpack, daily vitamins and a down bed cover were stolen from an unlocked residence.
