Nutrition event touts healthy foods

Students at La Cañada Elementary School sampled a variety of fruits and vegetables from the school’s cafeteria recently during a nutrition education event.

School Nutrition Plus, a food service company that serves the district, showcased produce to students that began with every letter of the alphabet. Students nibbled on healthy meals for lunch that included proteins and grains.
