Angeles Crest Highway driver found hanging from mountainside

A man hanging from the side of a mountain was rescued by deputies early Tuesday, according to a statement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

About 1:10 a.m. Tuesday, a group of motorists flagged down deputies to tell them their friend’s “black Honda had possibly gone over the side of Angeles Crest Highway,” according to the release.

The car was found 450 feet from the side of the highway at mile marker 42, authorities said.
