La Cañada Crime: intoxicated movie-goer thrown out of theater

Sept. 11
Grand theft: 600 block of Berkshire Avenue, between 12 and 12:10 p.m. A lawn mower, trimmer and padlock were stolen from a bed of a pickup truck.
Sept. 12
Petty theft: 1900 block of Foothill Boulevard, between 7:10 a.m. and 9 a.m. A cellphone was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
Sept. 15
Vandalism: 4400 block of Vista Place, before 7:20 a.m. Rear window smashed on vehicle. Owner of vehicle believes the window was smashed in retaliation for reporting a suspicious vehicle to authorities earlier in the month.
Sept. 16
Grand theft, identity theft: 400 block of Foothill Boulevard, 2:15 p.m. A woman noticed her wallet was missing while shopping in a store. She discovered unauthorized purchases were made with three of her credit cards. In addition, an undetermined amount of cash was also stolen from the wallet.
Drunk in public: 1900 block of Verdugo Boulevard, 2:09 p.m. A 28-year-old La Crescenta man was arrested after being ejected from a movie theater for causing a disturbance. Deputies found the man with vomit on his shirt and shorts and he had difficulty standing up, according to a report from the sheriff’s station.
Vehicle burglary: 300 block of Starlight Crest Drive, before 6:30 a.m. A wallet containing a driver’s license, credit cards and other items was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
