Management intern moves on to South Pas
After two years working for the city of La Cañada Flintridge, Christopher Castruita has taken a role in South Pasadena.
Tuesday was Castruita’s last day as a management intern. He is now a management aide for the city of South Pasadena.
Castruita, 30, said his experience in La Cañada prepared him well for his new role. He worked with the city’s Youth Council on a number of issues, most recently on the revised smoking ordinance. The measure, which further limits smoking in public areas, was passed by the City Council.
“It was great,” he said of his internship. “I really enjoyed the issues I got to work on and the people I got to work with.”
Castruita recently received his master’s degree in public administration from USC. La Cañada will soon hire a new management intern.
