La Cañada Crime: Glendale man allegedly threatened three employees’ lives at dental office

Nov. 4

Multiple vehicle burglaries were reported in the 2100 block of La Cañada Crest Drive:

Between 1 and 7 a.m. A women’s handbag, wallet, cash in various denominations, a California driver’s license, a Social Security card, debit card and other items were stolen from a car.

Before 7:30 a.m. Window on vehicle was smashed. A handbag, a ring, earrings, a bracelet, theater tickets and a California driver’s license were stolen from the vehicle.

Before 7 a.m. A BMW owner’s manual and compact discs were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Before 9:30 a.m. Sunglasses taken from console inside a vehicle.

Before noon. Items scattered in car, owner unsure if anything was stolen. BMW driver’s manual found on top of car.

Before 6:39 a.m. A key, identification card, cellphone charger and a comforter were stolen from a vehicle.

Before 3:30 p.m. A diaper bag, toddler-sized shirts and pants and a couple of dresses were stolen from a vehicle. The front window on the vehicle was shattered.

Oct. 31

Theft by access card: 4400 block of Union Avenue, 12 p.m. A person’s identifying information was used to obtain a debit card and purchase items.

Oct. 30

Burglary: 4900 block of Ocean View Boulevard, between 9:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. A desktop computer and camera were stolen from a home. There was damage to the kitchen door and a piece of black lace cloth was found on the ground.

Oct. 29

Burglary: 5200 block of Palm Drive, between 9 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. A MacBook computer, pearls, iPod and a Nook e-reader were stolen from a home.

Oct. 27

Burglary: 2600 block of Foothill Boulevard, 6:15 p.m. Two men were seen in a Ralphs surveillance video entering the store, putting several bottles of alcohol in their shopping cart, and leaving without paying.

Montrose

Nov. 3

Petty theft: 400 block of Rockland Place, before 9 a.m. A wallet containing a California driver’s license, cash and a Social Security card were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Oct. 31

Grand theft: 4400 block of Ocean View Boulevard, before 1 p.m. A Mac Book Pro, iPhone, California driver’s license, credit card and a pair of gloves were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Oct. 30

Robbery, kidnapping, grand theft: 3900 block of Ocean View Boulevard, between 12 and 5:15 p.m. A 33-year-old Glendale man allegedly threatened three employees’ lives at the dental office where he used to work. One former colleague agreed to give him his car keys and comply with demands. He tied up two other victims at the business and stole cash in various amounts, along with a cellphone, a hand saw, a 2014 Toyota Corolla and a key set.
