La Cañada Crime: Man arrested for brandishing a knife during a confrontation

Criminal threats: 600 block of Foothill Boulevard, 9:55 a.m. A 60-year-old Burbank man was arrested for allegedly threatening another man and brandishing a knife during a confrontation at a cardboard collection site.
Nov. 28
Residential burglary: 4300 block of Vista Place, between 6 and 8 p.m.. A women’s gold watch and other miscellaneous jewelry items were stolen from a home. A sliding-glass door in the home had been smashed.
Nov. 25
Petty theft: 900 block of Foothill Boulevard, 12:39 p.m. A 75-year-old woman walked outside the Home Goods store with multiple items including gift bags, soap, a Santa Claus figurine, a faux orchid plant and liquid soap that she had not paid for. She claimed she walked outside the store with the items to receive better reception on a cellphone call.

Vehicle burglary: 1400 block of Descanso Drive, between 9 and 9:35 a.m. Stolen from a car were a purse and a wallet containing a driver’s license, credit cards, checkbook and an undisclosed amount of cash, and a cosmetic bag filled with makeup.

Petty theft: 900 block of Foothill Boulevard, 12:30 p.m. A bed-sheet set, a cable and candy were reported stolen from Home Goods.

Residential burglary: 4600 block of Cloud Avenue, between 7:30 a.m. and 5:45 p.m.. Multiple jewelry boxes, a computer monitor, two laptops and a projector were stolen from a home.
