The new Miss LCF is the daughter of La Cañada residents Michael and Jodi Powers. She is a member of her school’s Mu Alpha Theta Math Club, the National Honor Society and the California Scholastic Federation. She also participates in varsity softball and junior varsity volleyball.

Her royal court includes Jenna Gray, Camille Keh, Caroline Kenney and Sabine Puglia, all of who were also presented custom-designed tiaras.

Other students also received honors during the event, including Dan Cohen, who was named Intern of the Year for the chamber’s 2013 Summer Intern Scholarship Program. He received $2,000 in scholarship money. Taking home $1200 scholarships were the other participating interns Ben Blanco, Justin Cohen, Jonathan Connelly, Marne Fairhurst and Brian Kim.
