Share

The Foothill Municipal Water District is calling for students’ entries for its Third Annual K-12 “Water is Life” Student Art Contest. This fun, educational project is designed to inspire student creativity while engaging young people in the tenants of environmental stewardship and conservation.

The contest is open to all students attending a K-12 school located within the service area of a member water agency served by the local water district. Artwork from students outside the Foothill service area will not be accepted.

Slogans should be brief and easy to read, and should communicate the importance of water and conservation. Up to five prizes will be awarded, with the grand prize winner receiving $150 and the teacher of that students artist receiving a $100 gift card.

Entries can be made from a variety of media, including crayons, pencils, markers, paints, pastels, cut paper or fabric. Photographic, or graphically designed images will not be accepted. To read submission rules and guidelines and download an entry form, visit www.fmwd.com.

The deadline for entries is April 15.
