Former member of the Miss La Cañada Flintridge royal court and 2014 La Cañada High School graduate Nora Sagal showcased her vocal talents for a very special crowd Saturday during a performance at the wedding of George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin in Venice, Italy.
Pat Anderson, president and chief executive of the LCF Chamber of Commerce, notified the chamber’s members of Sagal’s involvement in the event in an email blast sent Wednesday afternoon.
Daughter of Warner Bros. executive and La Cañada Unified School Board Member David Sagal, the teenager sang Cole Porter’s “Why Shouldn’t I?” for the couple’s first dance as man and wife at the reception. She also performed the Irving Berlin classic tune “Always,” which Clooney’s parents reportedly danced to at their own wedding 55 years earlier.
This is not Nora Sagal’s first brush with Hollywood stardom. Still a senior in high school, she sang “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” in the 2014 Clooney film “Monuments Men.”
