Letter: Congratulations to council members

This week our city clerk swore in two terrific people as our next La Cañada Flintridge City Council members, Terry Walker and Len Pieroni. I am confident that Len and Terry will do excellent jobs helping to lead our city. Both have been active for years and have already contributed to our community’s benefit. Congratulations Len and Terry!

We are also losing two good friends who have had long and impressive records and commitment to our city, Laura Olhasso and Don Voss. Laura has been involved with our city government for over two decades where she has led with integrity and strong leadership. She was the image of our city during the Station fire where her grace and dignity drew admiration from leaders from our neighboring communities. Don was first our city’s treasurer, where he worked to ensure our financial stability before he brought his financial expertise to the City Council. Like Laura, Don has been a statesman and effective leader on the council adding to our positive regional reputation.

Thank you Laura and Don for your dedication and commitment to public service in general and specifically to La Cañada Flintridge. You will be missed, but your good works will continue to have a positive benefit for our community for many years to come. Well done!
