Thanks for supporting Hillside

In the spirit of the Thanksgiving season, The Hillside School and Learning Center would like to thank and recognize the community for its support for “summer school choice.” The parents and students have made a strong statement that options for summer school is a necessary part for the educational advancement of the community’s students. We would also like to acknowledge the community’s part in seeking tutors and additional educational programs provided by outside agencies in conjunction with the excellent La Cañada school system to supplement their child’s education. We tip our hat to you, the community.

The excellent API scores obtained by the district’s students are due to the combined teamwork of the La Cañada teachers, parents and outside educational agencies. Without this partnership, the district’s scores might not be one of its excellent achievements.

Finally, Hillside would like to thank the La Cañada school board for bringing this issue to a close and giving parents the freedom to choose from a variety of quality programs. The Hillside School looks forward to continuing its partnership with the district and the community, ensuring a strong and rigorous education to prepare students for the variety of post-high-school programs they may encounter.
