Fiesta Days was a resounding success

The Memorial Day activities and the Fiesta Days celebration were truly impressive. Those responsible for the weekend are deserving of our appreciation and recognition.

The Memorial Day activities gave us time to pause and show our gratitude to those who gave their lives for our freedom and liberty. The Memorial ceremony was very appropriate.

Those who shared in the activities of the weekend were very fortunate to experience the warm and friendly sense of community whose members came together to celebrate in a positive, respectful and fun manner. Additionally and significantly, the Memorial weekend brought together the private and business sectors of our community to provide meaningful and fun family activities.

It is most appropriate that we acknowledge and thank those who worked long and hard to ensure the success of the weekend. We salute and thank the chair of the Fiesta Days, Barbara Marshall, the La Cañada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce and Community Assn. team members, the city leadership, the La Cañada Flintridge Outlook and La Cañada Valley Sun, local service agencies and volunteers, nonprofit and business organizations, and those who participated in the many community events.

To one and all, we thank you, and we are proud to live in this land of the free and home of the brave!
