A thanks to an influential coach

With the recent retirement of Head Baseball Coach Dennis Ballard, I wanted to formally thank Coach Ballard for the great impact he had on my two sons, who both had the privilege of playing baseball for him at La Cañada High School.

Neither of my sons will ever be a major league baseball player.

The teams they played on for Coach Ballard did not win league or CIF championships.

However, Coach Ballard did teach them about life, the importance of character and integrity, and of family, and the values they will take with them throughout the rest of their lives and pass on to their own children.

Thank you, Coach, for all that you did for my sons.
