Dear Bear: Please don’t visit again

A bear visited our driveway on the night of August 6-7. For several days we couldn’t understand how a neighbor’s large trash can of picnic and party remains had been unloaded in our long and tree-lined driveway.

The mystery was solved a few days later when a neighbor called out to ask if we had seen the bear. No, we hadn’t; but we certainly had seen too much of its trail. Ironically, our daughter in La Crescenta had a similar visitor recently on her much more public driveway.
