Campaign works to strengthen community

Share

The Crescenta-Cañada Family YMCA is continuing its annual community support campaign to ensure that everyone in the Foothills has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.

The association goal for the annual community support campaign is to raise $425,000, with a significant portion being allocated to fund initiatives focused in our community.

Your gift will help fund two youth development initiatives in our community: a second-grade swim initiative to teach all area children swimming and water-safety skills that will keep them safe and build physical and social skills by the time they finish second grade; and a teen leadership initiative will provide additional staffing at the Y to develop programs that will positively enhance developmental assets of our teens.

Your investment in the Y will provide guidance to help people of all ages understand and value their physical and spiritual well-being. In particular, our Chaplain Services initiative is available for all members, staff and the community to come alongside anyone for encouragement and support in a compassionate way.

Today, one in five families has access to the Y because of the Membership for All program, which keeps all programs and services affordable to all who wish to participate. Your gift to the Y will ensure families in our community will continue to have the opportunity to be welcomed at the Y and have a safe place to grow physically, spiritually and mentally.

When we all pitch in and help our neighbors, we make a meaningful, enduring impact in the lives of children and families and ultimately, we strengthen our community. For more information, or to make a donation, please call me at (818) 790-0123, Ext. 266.
